We are driven by a passion for travel, a passion for food, a passion for wine, and a passion for culture. We, Liz and John, Travel Scent’s principals, have a shared love of travel and all things foodie – especially Indian food and Australian wine. Liz has a great knowledge of all the styles of regional Indian cuisine, and is adept at creating them all in her own kitchen.

The idea for Travel Scents arose from our travels in India – to, among many other places, Manali, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Shimla, Rajasthan, Kerala and Goa. We wanted to share the fabulous culinary and cultural experiences with a broader audience, experiences that would largely be missed on a standard tour to India. For the more adventurous, we offer motor-biking trips in the Himalayas, tailored to the seasonal climatic variations of north-east India, with accommodation ranging from a monastery guest-house to tree houses.

We also want to introduce Indian and other visitors to the joys of Australian wine, and of the local produce featured at many good winery restaurants - the meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables, chocolate and other delicious comestibles.

All our tours are carefully crafted – we have tried and tested the locations, travel, accommodation, and culinary delights, as well as the specialised tours, guides, and security. Whether your dream is to live and eat like a Maharaja in Jaipur, or motorcycle into the splendour of the Himalayas, immerse yourself in the wines of Margaret River or luxuriate in a spa in Hepburn Springs, we can realise it for you!

CEO

Liz is the inspiration behind Travel Scents. Born in Bombay, she now lives in Melbourne, Australia. Educated in Psychology and Law, she has been a successful entrepreneur in India, Dubai and Australia, and is now embarked on Travel Scents.

Liz has travelled widely in India, as well as visiting Europe – Spain, France, the Netherlands, the UK – Africa and the far east.

Food is her passion, she is an accomplished cook, and also paints, pots, and potters in the garden to supply her own kitchen with chilies, coriander and more.

Rianna is passionate about cooking, meeting people and travel. Her favourite destination in India is Goa, for its relaxing lifestyle and spicy seafood. She also loves the vineyards, cellar doors and restaurants in the Yarra valley in Victoria.

She is very adventurous with different foods, is also a great cook, specialising in desserts – particularly chocolate!

Director

John has travelled widely in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. His world food highlights include shabu-shabu in Tokyo, blackened bluefish in Boston, mussels in Malaig, and almost everything cooked by Liz!

He loves Indian food, and also Indian classical music, and is intrigued by the colours and cultures of India. He also has a love of Australian wine and fine wines generally.

Our family has been in the tour and travel business for a very long time. Nowadays we can proudly boast our reputation for a well known travel advisors in our area. We are also famous for the fabulous cooking classes and dedicated staff.
